The Candy Corner

A lesser known great little sweetie shop, this place has an amazing amount of stock. Some of the sweets in here, I’d never even encountered before and believe me I’m a big sweet, chocolate and general food fan.
So, this is the place to go for long lost favourites or if you’re on a quest to find those now unusual sweets that seem to be out of existence. I have quite a problem trying to locate dark chocolate fondant covered mice recently for the old boy’s birthday (aka my dad, thankfully not the boyfriend boy.).
Furthermore, the prices are very reasonable, the staff pleasant and the shop tidy, clean and as it should be. Pop in if you’re out and about this way. Unfortunately, this is an area of Glasgow I don’t frequent very often.

Classic, old school British sweet shop, you can feel your teeth throbbing just by looking at the jars on the shelves here. With every sweet you’ve ever seen in your life in stock, and quite possibly the biggest gobstoppers in existence, a nostalgia-​filled browse is always worthwhile.
Oh, and if you buy just one thing, make sure it’s the homemade macaroon. Astounding.
