This is a modern and spacious Wetherspoons, close to Central Station but off the beaten track enough that some folk forget its there! Their drinks menu is quite extensive, and reasonably priced. Food is tasty enough(standard Wetherspoons menu, but I think they have a few specials every now and then, for example extra curries when it is not a curry club day). I like the artwork on the walls in this pub, very abstract but with local names(Milngavie skies).

Barkeeps were very nice. The menus and tables were a bit grungy — could use a good deep cleaning. I ordered the nachos and they were ‘ok’, not great. The atmosphere was a nice pub atmosphere with lots of available space to have avoid time with friends. I probably would not go back for food, but would go back to enjoy a couple pints with friends.

Total crap hole. Smells like stale beer, no waitress service and bloody bouncer of all the silly things.

So nice to sitting here full after ordered and eaten a large Scottish breakfast, with an extra portion of toast, and a can of Irn Bru. Not bad for £7.59. My only thing to pull them up on is that I think they should have Irn Bru on the draft instead of promoting coke, that does nothing for the Scottish economy.

I have been coming here since i was a student, its an old reliable haunt of ours… great value specialty ales on offer and decent filling food to soak it up, we even managed to get a seat on this Saturday evening visit! We all had a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with chips, standard stuff really, bit of a soggy bun, but for 6,50£ with a drink you can hardly complain, we always get what we expect here and at most Spoons, decent ale and a good bite to eat for under 10£…the only let down is that they dont drop salt and sauces at the table now with food, i havent been here in a while but it might be common for that to happen on a Saturday night, will return here again no doubt!

Went back here, not out of choice! The food was awful, pulled pork in a bap… yes a bap like you buy Fae the baker. Got a pint of ale which was vinegary… which basically means the pipes ain’t clean, they did exchange it for the other ale on offer but guess what??? Yuk. Won’t be back.

Where to go in the city centre for a quick, cheap, bite to eat? The Sir John Moore, a Wetherspoons, meets the criteria well. It’s a nice big space with plenty of seats so we didn’t have to wait to get one. Considering that it looked like the ‘quick drink after work’ crowd hadn’t quite cleared out I’d say that our timing was perfect, arriving around 6.30pm(from previous experience you’ll struggle to get a seat between 5pm and 6pm week nights). I like this kind of pub, it’s a no frills place, no music blaring, friendly, hard-working staff, it’s not trendy but you get what you ask for(and largely what you expect). Not massively hungry, I walked up to the bar and got served immediately. I ordered a tuna baked potato and a skinny chicken sandwich for my partner and was told they’d be on our table in 10 minutes. I grabbed our(soft) drinks and sat back down. 10 minutes later, almost to the second, out came our food. Was it the best meal I’ve ever had? No, of course not. Was it what I expected? Yup! It was cheap and cheerful, tasty enough that I ate it all, as did my partner. Not bad for £5.10 a head. And with that, we headed off to the Carling Academy to see Disclosure, the real purpose of the evening.

My closest pub to work, with added benefit of serving my beloved Real Ale. This is a typical Wetherspoons serving good value food and drink. Ale is always good and is Cask Marque accredited which means the ale is kept well with good cellar management. Food is reasonably priced and of a good standard. Too handy for a lunchtime pint or a quick one before getting the train home.

I met a couple of friends here for a drink before going out to other clubs. It was around 9pm and it was busy but we were served quickly and got seats easily. Weatherspoons are clearly priced by location because this one was a little bit more expensive that the ones in Paisley. Still a nice place to go for a drink and a meal.

Big fat bazinga breakfasts! Right near Central station too! For 8 quid we had 2 coffees and 2 breakfasts and I left Glasgow for London with a bursting tummy. Happy times. A great Wetherspoons! In the morning the sun streams in through the windows and its a joy to eat breakfast under the warm glow of the Scottish sun — on the warm side of a window of course!

Another Office Land Wetherspoons… This is another one frequented by my colleagues. More specifically, it’s where everyone gathers over the course of a few hours, while we wait for everyone to escape the workplace, before deciding to go somewhere else. And if someone doesn’t get there by 5pm on a Friday, it’s unlikely you’ll get seats! The atmosphere is lacking and it has all the personality of a stump, but the staff are friendly enough(although the poor things often look a bit on the stressed side). The alcohol is cheap, but not as inexpensive as the Edward Wylie, and the food is priced the same as any other Wetherspoons. I actually prefer when I can sit outside on the few days we get some toasty sun, as the face of the building conveniently faces meaning plenty of rays for the punters. It’s a good place to go if you’ve got a long time to wait for a train and fancy a tipple. All in all, it suits its purpose but isn’t really anything special.

Cheap, cheerful and just another Weatherspoons, there not a great deal I can say about here except that it’s rammed around 5 pm most days but what can you expect for it’s prices.
