Difficult! Amazed we made it out in time, but we did have a lot of help from Rory, who is well suited for this job. For all I know, he is the nicest man in the world. Anyways, the premise is simple: you are locked in a room and have an hour to escape, solving a series of cryptic clues that demand lateral thinking and good communication skills. I have been to one of the two other room escape places in Glasgow, and I have to say this one was much better. Firstly, the puzzles were more challenging and went beyond simple numbers, letters, and shapes(there’s a few mega cool ones). There’s also a really powerful moment when you think you’re nearly there, but… you are not. You can also take in some funky props, making it more of a fun party vibe. Also, there’s a loose concept which ties things together a bit better. A big sell is that you can pay individually, adding a few people until you have a number that sounds fun. Other places demand a group booking that is then divided by however many people come along. Keen to go again when they introduce a new room in a few months time. Recommended.

It’s all-but impossible for me to review Tick Tock Unlock Glasgow without spoiling the experience: I went in with zero expectations, and completely recommend it. If you’re a fan of puzzles — and just generally having a laugh! — round up your friends and book a room for something really different you’ll be talking about for weeks. Can’t wait til they set up a new puzzle and I can go again!
