TK Maxx

This branch of TK Maxx seems a little bit more organised than some other branches, but still a bit confusing. I’d give it 4 stars for the food, household and stationery section, 3 for shoes and 2 for clothes. so 3 overall.
I tend to only go here for clothes when I have exhausted all other options, you can never guarantee the selection available or the sizes. That said, I have found some nice «activewear» here and if you are going on a beach holiday in the winter, they will have swimsuits!

This branch of TK Maxx has homewares, toys and books on the ground floor level, with clothing and footwear on the first floor. I popped in here in search of a party dress before Christmas. It wasn’t easy to find things at all and any time an item of clothing caught my eye it seemed to be a one-​off in the wrong size… If you’ve got time to spare to trawl through the racks I’m sure you could find some great bargains. For me, the TK Maxx experience is a bit like being at a jumble sale, it’s all a bit random.

The layout in this TK Maxx is odd and it can be hard to find certain departments you are looking for, but once you find the place you need it had a good selection of items and staff where very helpful and kept my stuff safe while I went to the cinema and they let me pick it up later.

You need to be a particular kind of shopper to enjoy TK Maxx. One who’s prepared to put in a bit of time and effort, enjoys a rummage and finding hidden gems. I’m one of the laziest shoppers around so I can’t say I enjoy going to TK Maxx — I walk in excited and that diminishes within about 30 seconds when I see the racks of picked-​through clothes.
This TK Maxx is pretty big, split over two levels. I’ve visited tonnes of times but can’t remember ever finding anything for myself here — it seems like the clothes on the women’s section are all from the 90s so maybe I’m missing the secret. There is a good range in the homewares section however, and I like how the handbags are presented along a whole wall so it’s easy to see what you like. It’s worth a visit but you’ve got to be in the right frame of mind and put in the effort to get the goods. One day that might happen to me.
