I’m normally a fan of this operation, having used the branches in Cardiff and Nottingham. However, the greasy offering from this branch combined with truly terrible chicken(I assume it was chicken), led me to bin my meal after a couple of mouthfuls. I won’t be going back.

Amazing affordable food that i constantly have a craving for. Best noodle bar in Glasgow. And no, you do not have to be ridiculously drunk to enjoy a Wok to Walk.

From the name wok to walk and from what you see inside you would be mistaken to think chinese food but wrong. They have the odd chinese member of staff to make it look like that. Some staff are clean and presentable others are downright dirty and should not be let near food. Some of the staff look as if they have had the same uniform for days.

Delicious drunk food, and perfect after a night out(especially great coming from Jellybaby). It’s not cheap, but it’s really filling. Service is pretty quick and there’s tons of customization. If you’re looking for drunk food on Sauchiehall this is a great bet.

Was looking for something affordable to eat while I checked out Glasgow with a friend. We passed by(and smelled) Wok to Walk and decided to check it out. The food is close to the authentic asian food I’ve been used to but with a twist, the food combination is customisable. You can select the sauce, the vege and meat and type of style it is cooked. Considering how fast it was cooked and that it is served hot. I absolutely loved it. If you’re looking for something hot, quick, yummy and affordable… Go for Wok to Walk. There is also special price for lunch too. I wish we had it in Edinburgh!

I have experienced the frustration of trying to find Vegan food in the city. My wife and I want to grab some lunch so we go into a place that I have enjoyed several times and find out that EVERYTHING has animal stuff in it. Eggs, milk etc. Wok to wok is one of those pleasant surprises. I love the fresh noodles and ability to choose my ingredients. My wife loves the fact that the chefs will clean the wok between dishes and she can get reasonable Vegan lunch for a decent price. The guys here are very accommodating to her vegan requirements — even more than some staff in Vegetarian places.

This is fast food done right. No manky processed food here. Just simple, fresh, tasty ingredients stir-fried and thrown in a handy and sturdy paper carton so you can eat in or eat on the run(if need be). I also enjoyed the atmosphere. The bright orange walls and long wooden tables engender a lively and inviting setting. I’d have to disagree with reviewers who said there isn’t enough bang for your buck – the portion is enormous and for a fiver will easily be enough food for a meal. Yum yum!

Midweek pint? yip Need food after work so the morning fall out ain’t too bad? Yip. Ooooh, this place! Having heard a number of good things about this joint and just being in the right area when my brain and belly happened to be on the same page. Oh you mean eat now… yeah sure. So what the score then. Well, this is quite an interesting wee place in sas much as you get a full choice of what you want included in your wee box of goodness. First step, choose between noodles(tons of different options) or rice(this n all) then move onto the meat, or not as the case may be. Finally pick out a flavour or two and the dude at wok cooks it up right in from of your slavering wee face… nice! Draw back? eh… it’s maybe a tad experience for what looks like a small portion. However that wee box is like the bloody Tardis man. Half way through your thinking maybe you have something wrong with you… am i coming down with something? Reduced appetite? Naw man. you;ve just ate a shed load o food! Ok.this is worth a punt. it’s clean, fresh and something that little bit different

Heading to the station from the CCA bar after a couple of drinks with friends, some of us realized we hadn’t had anything to eat.(The bar food was pretty much out of our price range…) Wok to Walk was there, it was clean-looking, and it was busy without too excessive a queue, so hey, why not.(Of course, we were there at 8:30 pm, being Old People, lord knows what it may be like at club time.) It’s not, you know, *classy*, but after drinking, you’re not really looking for that. Everything gets done right in front of you – win on the transparency front – and the result is hot and tasty and just fried enough to satisfy. It does what it says on the tin, which is all one really asks for. It is, as Declan notes, a little pricey – to get both beef and veg in mine brought the cost up to £6.80, which is why this gets three stars instead of four. I get the feeling they charge that much because they can, sitting in student row on Sauchiehall Street, not because it’s anywhere near the cost of the food and labour involved. I’d go again if I were nearby and tipsy and craving food, but I wouldn’t exactly seek it out otherwise.

So this is where I stuff my face at 2 in the morning, but not because I am a drunken bum… I work late nights at the weekend, which is nowhere near as fun! Having to serve drunk people at 100MPH gets exhausting, and you need fuel to get you through the night. Wok to Walk does the job. Food is fried up fresh for you, and you can see what the guys are doing which is pretty honest service. It tastes a lot fresher than some of the congealed sweet n sour you’ll find in nearby take outs, and its clean, modern surroundings make it quite a swanky takeaway to gatecrash when you’re boozed. The one area it falls short for me is price — you’re looking to spend a fiver on a relatively small tub of food. But it tastes good, you can create your own dish, it’s made for you on the spot, the staff are banterful and it’s open till four in the morning, so these factors more than make up for the eye popping price. Thanks for servicing the local bar staff community!

A new addition to the Sauciehall Street fast food gauntlet, and a pretty decent one to boot. Choose your noodles, choose your meat and extras, choose your sauce. A pic’n’mix, essentially. Everything gets bunged in a wok right in front of you, fried for a few minutes, popped back in the box and you’re good to go. It’s a little pricey sure, £6.50 for my egg noodles, sweetcorn, chicken and hot sauce(the hot sauce is not just a clever name, it delivers. It also did wonders for my stupid summer cold), but still a better deal than the classic noodle bar just down the road. Plus I reckon the portion I got could have happily served two, and I’m pretty greedy. Situated next door to the ABC I imagine it’ll do gangbusters with the after gig crowd.
