It’s a bit cramped, but the coffee and cakes make up for it! Yummy.

This is a great place for gifts or the odd cheeky treat! i picked up a couple of ice creams from here last week, they offer to ‘dip’ them in their chocolate maker for you, so you have an ice cream topped with solid home made chocolate, mmmm!! wide range of handmade luxury chocolate treats and reasonable prices.

My wife and I love it in here. There cakes are really yummy and all are home made according to there website. It can get quite busy during lunchtimes and on a Saturday. But I see this as a good sign, would you trust somewhere if it was always empty ??.
Price wise I think it’s just right, It’s not greasy spoon cheap and it’s not Costa/​Starbucks expensive either.
They have a daily specials board which will usually have a home made fresh soup of the day (my personal favourite) baked potato’s and sometimes a quiche or pie.
I usually have a large Latte with an extra shot, and this is always just perfect. My wife usually has a cappuccino or hot chocolate with lashings of whipped cream and marshmallows which she says is too die for.

The Chocolate and Coffee Shop only has about ten tables so it really is a squeeze, and if you go in with a pushchair, you will receive plenty of dirty looks from other customers! This café is a bit on the pricey side, but the coffees and hot chocolate in particular are yummy. You can also buy delicious continental chocolates to accompany your cuppa. They serve lunches but they are a bit dear and not much of a selection, plus portions are a bit on the small side. On the plus, this café is situated near the square, so its handy for popping in to meet friends. They also put chairs and tables outside in the summer, so its nice to sit out and watch the world go by.
