Frankie & Benny’s

i am afraid i am not keen on this place, due to service being slow and food not as good as can be!

Not quite as pleasing as other branches though still a yummy dinner /​pitstop from shopping especially with the children as the staff always hand them a balloon and strive to keep them happy with colouring in sheets etc. Large toilets great for baby changing —
food great and fairly fast service — lunch menu has good deals and puddings are really great — would happily go again

Frankie and Bennys in Gloucester is not as good as some of the other restaurants in the chain but the food tastes good and I enjoy the atmosphere, only downside is the ever changing and high turnover of staff

Frankie and Benny’s is a brilliant restaurant. It’s much like the Italian version of TGI Fridays. The insides are always very well decorated and lavish, with things like retro cola bottles and signed football shirts on the walls. Frankie and Benny’s is good for a family because of there wide range of food choices for all ages, but also suitable for just adults as they offer things like cocktails. The food is good quality and tasty, but obviously it’s not the best in the world! I would recommended there starter of potato skins, which really are out of this world! For main they have things like steak, and burgers as well as lots of pasta, pizza’s and things like that. They tend to put a bit of an Italian spin of things, so most items on the menu come with a bit of spice. The restaurant in Gloucester is a fairly new one and it is always clean. The staff are friendly and kind, and make sure things go smoothly. There can be a bit of a wait (Both for food and to pay) when there busy, but never long enough to get impatient.
They have also recently added a rather novel feature if there busy. They will give you this little pager thing, that will bleep when they have a table for you. They give everyone a numbered one so you know when there ready for you. This is great as it enables you to actual be in there restaurant (Usually at the bar) rather then having to go and wait outside the premises or just by the door! It is a bit of a novelty, but clever none the less.
Overall Frankie and Benny’s is a great little place (Or chain) and I would recommend it to everyone who likes this sort of American Italian food.

Great family eating place. good choice of food staff always helpful and polite.
We usually go for a Special treat as it can be quite expensive to take a family but it’s well worth it. The puddings are always a hit with our family. But everything is very tasty.

I really enjoy taking my children here for a special treat. The food and service is always good and the children have a special goody bag which always keeps them entertained. The menu has a great variety and is reasonably priced and they usually have special meal deals which makes it even more worthwhile.
All in all a good atmosphere, great food and welcoming service.

This restaurant is an American-​Italian diner, located in St Oswald’s Retail Park.
I’ve eaten here a couple of times recently and have been impressed each time. The service is fast and the staff are friendly. There’s a relaxed, informal atmosphere and it’s a great place to eat with children, who love the food and the attention. I’d recommend their calzones every time, with the banana cheesecake for dessert. The prices are very reasonable.
There’s always plenty of parking nearby, and it’s conveniently located for some of the larger out of town stores, such as B&Q and Mothercare.

What more can I say the food is great the atmosphere excellent, the music a little old fashioned but to my liking. and the service is friendly and fast.

Frankie & Benny’s is a New York Italian style diner set in the 50’s era. While you are dining you soak in the 50’s atmosphere created by the excellent and attentive staff aided by the endless playing of excellent 50’s music (the CD’s can also be bought in house).
In the main the food is great and well prepared; any complaint is swiftly and concisely dealt with by the efficient management.
There is a special lunch menu at a set price which has a limited but good range of food; in some cases the meals are a cut down version of the full menu but ideal if your a pensioner or only have a small appetite.
