Sadly this little sandwich shop isn’t as good as it used to be. But Stefands does always have fresh bread and everything is made to order, so you can specify exactly what you want in your sandwich/bap. Their salad boxes aren’t great — they’re served in those polystyrene boxes that you get burgers and kebabs in, and so by the time you’ve got to where you’re going to eat your lunch, the salad box is all over the bag! This sandwich shop does stock local fruit juices though — which make a nice change from fizzy pop. They also have a range of sweet stuff — from shortbread to chocolate cake! The staff are friendly, and everything is made so efficiently, but the quality of the food and the price rises have made me go elsewhere for my lunch when I’m in town. The shop is always busy around lunchtimes though, so I guess that there are still a lot of people who are happy with their sandwiches.
