It is what it is, a small independent. I went with my wife and arrived half hour early, that was our first mistake because the doors are locked until the due time so we had to wait in the cold. Next buying a ticket takes forever. It is the same counter that takes the food and drink orders so if you just want a ticket you have to wait in line while all those in front get their food. When we finally made it in to watch the film there was no heating and we spent all our time huddled together trying to keep warm. I would go again but not in the winter and be better prepared for the queuing.

A pleasant two screen cinema with convenient public parking nearby. The staff were pleasant, the seating comfortable, the sound quality was good as was the viewing experience. The cinema seems to have a good programme of films to cater for audiences of all ages. The only real criticism is in the choice of refreshments and snacks available. But then again, it is quite a small cinema. Well worth a visit though.

The Reel at Grantham, it is good for a local cinema, I have only been to it a dozen of times, the staff are friendly I just feel that the size of it is the main problem also the seating is not the best.

As far as I’m aware, this is Grantham’s only cinema — which is disappointing because it has a very limited selection of films, many of which are very mainstream and rather infantile (lots of fun for all the family type films which don’t really appeal to me. Conversely a lot of Hollywood blockbusters that you’d expect to make it here don’t, which is also disappointing.
As is the price tag — which is no less than what you’d pay at a big, metropolitan cinema with large rooms and comfortable seating!
On the plus side, they do have a cheap night once a week, when films are half price — so if you’re lucky enough to find a film you actually want to watch here, you can see it on the cheap.
