Okay, I admit our priority pass expired 3 months ago and we did not realize and brought the old card. The girl and the front just looked at it, blurted «your card expired, can’t check you in» and lost interest. We had to call Priority Pass hotline (no, she did not offer to use the lounge phone to make local call, had to use my cel — so roaming) — and bingo! The representative asked to talk to the attendant and told her to just type in the card number — which worked and we were in.
So inside:
— very basic food and drinks — but free –so no complaints
— reasonably fast wifi — with obscure sign up process
— clean restrooms
— kinda crowded — and the best seats are roped off with «reserved» sign.
Conclusion:
if you have discount or free access and want a shower and drink during long layover — go for it.
If you have a choice of airline lounge — give No 1 a pass

Good: Wifi access, unlimited access to beverages and snacks, comfortable seats.
Con: Ordered the Eggs Benedict. I thought Eggs Benedict had poached eggs, not a hardboiled egg! Look at picture and you can see why I was displeased with my order. This place, despite letting you know if it takes care of you, does not make meals made to order.
I also had an existing reservation, but had to wait for 3 other people in front of me so they could buy their entry. Wish there was some kind of way to stream line this?
AA and BA Lounges have better food, IMHO. But to shell out almost £25 pounds (Virgin Atlantic members get discounts, FYI)? I don’t know. Definitely not the best lounge I’ve been to, and I would only advise to get your money’s worth is to spend 3 hours and snack your way to a meal.
