Not worth the money. Cheese nachos got stuck to the paper in the plastic bowl and ended up eating mostly paper for lunch. Could’ve made it better(and cheaper) in my own kitchen.

The food is very tasty, always tastes very fresh even when going later at night, and there’s a great selection of it. The staff could stand to be a bit more knowledgeable about ingredients and what’s actually in their food, as far as allergens go, but they assured me that they will be brushing up on this in future! If you do have allergies, do ask to look through the checklist yourself, as the server incorrectly told me I could eat one of the meats(but luckily I checked it myself before I did).

I haven’t been to this place on their opening days were it got most of its bad reputation. Instead I only been a few times this last month and the service was always fast and the staff were very friendly & helpful Regarding the food, I am not very fond of their shredded beef burrito, but their shredded chicken and especially the vegetarian options are great. Reading the previous review i can now say that they provide different burrito size options, quite a few options for fillings and they can fold burritos properly :) They also have a good selection bentley’s soft drinks, corona beers and the tortilla chips are quite good. The only disadvantage i found was their takeaway paper bags which can be a bit dangerous if you are carrying a heavy order as they can rip. I am glad a healthy fast-food place finally opened in Guildford, I will definitely going again.

AMAZING! Burrito Loco has to be one of my favourite places to visit. Friendly staff, stylish interior and really delicious food make Burrito Loco one of the best places to eat in the area. For an independent restaurant there is a massive variety of food to choose from, all of which the staff will prepare with a smile. My personal favourite is the salad box with pork and refried beans(the fact that it contains the word ‘salad’ makes me feel healthy). The 12 inch burrito is huge and I’ve never had one that hasn’t been incredibly tasty. With the addition of lovely, warm tortilla chips, freshly prepared salsa/guacamole and a can of fanta lemon(which I’ve only ever seen abroad) for under £10, it really is unmissable. I have been served by either Chester or Charlie on every occasion I have eaten there and they are unarguably masters of their craft — they can tell you all the ingredients, where they are sourced, the best combinations and still maintain eye contact and an endearing smile whilst wrapping a burrito in record-breaking time. In my experience, Burrito Loco’s customer service is second to none. The food is prepared in front of you by confident, personable and trendy young employees — the need for tex-mex perfection is clearly reflected in their behaviour, sheer concentration etched into their faces as they meticulously craft each taco, burrito and salad box as if creating human life with their very hands. The overall feel of Burrito Loco is astoundingly suitable for almost every social demographic. The minimalistic, trendy interior, authentic Mexican music and exciting food attracts well-to-do young people from all over the borough — the county, at a stretch. The relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and variety makes it the perfect family friendly destination for a filling lunch after a walk up the high street, with the plastic baskets not only looking good, but providing a safer(and less likely to smash when a teething three year old lobs it against a wall) alternative to the commonplace china plate. The one thing that could improve this already magnificent eating establishment would be the introduction of a small alcoholic range of beverages — some authentic Mexican lagers, perhaps. However, all in all, Burrito Loco is a truly tremendous choice for any occasion(bar funerals and/or orgies). If you’re the type of person who enjoys keeping themselves alive by absorbing nutrients through the consumption of food, then Burrito Loco is the place for you.

In fairness they have just opened so I was expecting a few minor teething problems but I am surprised at quite how poor the food is, I thought they might at least get that bit right! I had a choice of chicken or beef as they had run out of pork and both were brown sludge with what looked like lumps of meat in, so not very appealing. They had also no rice as they had run out of that too. The bits to add in were the fairly normal selection, although I did overhear someone moaning about the guacamole(I can’t comment as I didn’t have any in my burrito). Where it fell apart(quite literally!) is the folding up bit, quite simply they don’t know how to fold a burrito so I ended up with a 6″ square lump where my burrito was vaguely folded and the rolled up to try and keep it together. The burrito itself was vaguely warm and the sour cream was ice cold too, which prob didn’t help. Because of the way it was folded all the bits were all in clumps together and not spread across the burrito so I got all the pepper sauce in one mouthful and ice cold sour cream in another. And overall it was pretty salty — not sure if this was the meat or black beans though. On plus side the staff were very friendly and helpful and can’t be faulted, except for being unable to fold a burrito but the is just poor training. And the coffee was nice too, but would be good if they offered different sizes. I am a big fan of burritos and been a frequent visitor to Chipotle, Tortilla, Waccaca etc so I was really looking forward to this place opening up and now feel a bit cheated. Once they sort out the problems I hope I can come back and give it 5 stars, as I’d love to see it be a big success.
