I went here about 7 years ago and thought it was like staying in a roach infested hovel! The rooms were dingy and I didn’t even stay around long enough for breakfast to find out how that was. Thankfully it has undergone a major renovation since then and is unrecognisable when compared to its former self. The lounge and bar area is a pleasant area to sit and enjoy an afternoon drink and becomes a lively night time venue which is always friendly and pleasantly busy. The rooms have been given a very much needed makeover and are now a relaxing place to stay. A massive improvement and worth considering if you are staying in Guildford.
