Very jel that my pal Nic has this haunt at the end of her road… such a jam packed winner of a bar, considering a move. A huge boxer dog roams the bar and gardens and has a managerial feel about him. Pissed him off though by treading on his tail while he waited with me to get served at the bar, which by the way was quick and über friendly. Me and my fellow Nicola’s desired a quick fix bevvie so we could catch up with our footie drinking other halves, asked the bar lady her thoughts… and a Jagerbomb was recommended. Fab. Had always wanted one but seem to only have eyes for Rose of late. Outside, an oasis of a wine bar garden with an upmarket feel. Loved. All fairy lit, flaming heaters, marquees, lush black wicker look chairs and all landscaped into a tired effect wonder of a space. It was packed but all 9 of us were seated. Get in. Nic is thinking of having her 30th here and I’m there in a flash, dressed up to the nines.

Nice to sit outside the back during the summer. Gets very busy on a Fri/Sat night.

I’m old enough to remember when a visit to Rogues was always a bit risky because of the amount of trouble that was started by some of the people that went there. Thankfully that was quite some time ago and Rogues has changed dramatically into a very nice place for a night out. The outside patio area is always busy even when it’s freezing outside thanks to the many heaters in use. The inside is usually busy but not too busy but most importantly of all the selection of beers, wines and spirits is one of the best in Guildford. If your going into town for a night out then stop in at Rogues for a drink beforehand, the only problem is you may like it so much you may not make it into town!
