We came here for Sunday lunch. The weather was picture perfect, so we could sit outside. With the views of the ocean and boats, I was almost in mind of a post card. The food could best be described as continental. I enjoyed my tomato and mozzarella bruschetta. I also nabbed a couple of my aunt’s french fries(aka chips) which were delicious(side note: whatever they do in England to cook their chips so perfectly needs to be exported, stat). Wine selections by the glass and bottle were also solid; we ordered a bottle of sauvignon blanc to share. The only discordant note was the cloud of thunderbugs swarming around during the meal – by the time we were wrapping it up, they were even in our hair and staking out the remains of our dishes. Matters might have improved had there been lit candles or some other deterrent in evidence, sadly this was not the case. We opted to move inside for coffee just to get away from the swarms. When we entered the restaurant, we saw that quite a few tables were open. This was puzzling, as it was made clear that no indoor seating was available for the time that we reserved, which was why we sat outside in the first place. Service also could have been a bit faster, but it was, after all, Sunday lunch.
