I won’t pretend and say that I’m a regular pool player as I’m not. In fact, I’d probably go as far as saying that the only time I’m any good is by fluke. However, my boyfriend likes to play and every so often when we’re bored on a Saturday afternoon he’ll take me with him and ‘try’ to teach me, The inside of Snooks was above average in comparison to some of the other dives I’ve been too. We got some snacks and a couple of drinks and played a few games minding our own business. The only issue I had was I don’t think they get many girls in there as all the men kept staring. Maybe they were trying to learn some tips from my ‘unique’ style.

Snooks is a sweet snooker hall, dim lit, good service and well priced drinks. The right group of friends could spend a whole day up here no problem without feeling like they have broke the bank. The tables are top quality and well looked after. The crowed that seems to come here are always friendly and mature and often crowds end up mixing resulting in some interesting matchup with strangers. If you got a killer game going dont be surprised if you attract a eager crowd. Theres a seating area if you fancy a break from all the standing to enjoy your beer and watch some TV. My favorite place in Halesowen.

For any pool/snooker players around the Halesowen area, this place is made for you. Despite a relatively unflattering exterior, Snooks offers an wide range of top quality pool tables alongside a fully stocked bar serving both food and drinks at great prices. The friendly atmosphere is a hit amongst all those who visit, with a widescreen TV just as you enter the small bar area. All the pool tables, all of which are of top quality, are just slightly further on, away from the hustle and bustle of the bar. Overall, Snooks is a great destination for anyone interested in playing a bit of snooker/pool, or even just to have a drink in a welcoming environment, at decent prices. Definitely worth a visit.
