A typically old fashioned British pub, high ceilings, a group of regulars and dated décor give the Lighthouse it’s identity, in what is an ever changing impression of pubs these days.
Reasonable prices and a fairly calm, almost low key atmosphere makes the Lighthouse a destination more suited perhaps to the older generation, without criticising it in the slightest.
Without disrespecting the establishment in anyway whatsoever, the Lighthouse may not be considered worth a trip, if you were to live outside of the surrounding area, but for those who live locally, such as myself, there are much worse pubs that wouldn’t appeal to me as much as this old pub does.
