Expensive. Don’t wear a hat, door staff have no sensibilty and no manners. Avoid!

Nicely decorated pub although tends to be extremely busy on a weekend with party-​goers.
Good food at lunchtimes, very reasonably priced although expensive drinks both alcoholic and non-​alcoholic. Car park opposite for those not drinking.
Children welcome during the day, certainly not the type of place youd want to take them any evening of the week.

A busy Halifax pub, on a night out in the town most people at some point pay a visit to Barracuda as it is probably the largest pub and in a pretty central location.
During the day they also serve food which is ok with quite a varied menu, they do everything from sandwiches to large main meals though the standard isn’t that great.
At night it becomes a pre-​club hangout and is regularly packed out. With a dancefloor and dj it’s quite a lively place to be.
As it is so busy it can be difficult to get served and the barstaff seem to serve whoever is infront of them rather than working down the queue which can be very frustrating at times!
They also have a bottle bar away from the main bar but that only seems to be open when it gets really busy.

Formally a pretty grotty place to go, its been greatly improved by a renovation. The bar is now much better organised and it doesn’t take as long to get served. The general décor is now much nicer, the booths and tables are very sophisticated and modern looking and the overall arrangement with the dance floor seems much more organised and fluid looking. The one big letdown is still the toilets which for some reason they didn’t bother to update. These smell terribly and slightly ruin what is otherwise a very nice bar.

Nice bar — recently refubished .
Can get very busy at weekend so expect to wait a while to be served .
Decnt size dancefloor for thoose who want to start early .
Drinks can be a bit pricey
