Di Maggios

Four of us meet on a regular basis and I had procured a «deal» offering a starter, main and sweet for a very, very good price.
Always a bit wary of «deals» and what will be on offer but this one was really excellent.
We had 10 starter choices, 10 main choices and a 99 for sweet. The mains were all either pasta or pizza but as we knew that was the «deal» we were happy. We added Onion Rings to the mixture but they were not really needed as the portions were great.
Wine was reasonable and good according to those drinking wine. I was driving so fresh orange and tonic was the order of the day. As fresh orange and tonic goes, it was good.
We all loved the 99 — ice cream, a flake and a cone. Took us back to our childhood and the ice cream van!
Finished off with coffee and enjoyed that too.
All in all an enjoyable evening with friends and good food.

I’m a big Di Maggios fan generally speaking — I love their food. They have restaurants across Glasgow/​Lanarkshire and the best, by far, is the one in Airdrie which most people don’t realise exists. The Hamilton branch has gone downhill in my experience over recent years — the food is still decent but Airdrie’s seems better seasoned, presented and is generally tastier. Hamilton’s is just nice. Service is very mixed. So, e staff are lovely and helpful, some are a bit dry. One in particular can be very rude, and was rude to me when the staff made a mistake. I would recommend it, it is a good place. For me, Airdrie is an extra 5 minutes travel away and I’d rather go there!

I see that this Di Maggios has one review and it’s a 4 star review. I genuinely struggle to understand how this place could get anything more than 2 stars, and that’s me being kind.
I’ve never been to any other Di Maggios, and I’m keen to try another to see if it can change my opinion on the company. I’ve been in this restaurant a few times when I was younger so I don’t remember it much, but my parents never liked it. But I went in about 6 months ago with my friend Maria and both of us were so disappointed with the service we received.
Over the course of the evening we were served by about 13 different staff members so we didn’t actually ever know who our waiter was. They managed to get both our starter and main course orders incorrect, but we weren’t offered any sort of consolation such as free desserts or a free drink, which is normal in a restaurant when they make mistakes regarding orders.
The only reason I’m not giving this place one star is because, when they get it correct, the food is actually not bad. They have a delivery service which I’d use because I do like the food and wouldn’t have to put up with the bad service, but I’d never go in the restaurant again.

Really good food which is always served by really friendly staff. It’s great for the kids as well and they are well looked after. The pre theatre deal is really good value.

Take away is as good as sitting in. Staff always go out of their way to make you feel welcome and valued and food has always been exceptional.

We visited di maggios on a sunday night this time round, and for once weren’t faced with the chockablocked restaurant (always a good sign BTW).
great italian food, very fresh, oh and the focaccia peppericino is just fabulous!

Not a fan of these types of places but was there as part of a group.
As expected very poor food, poor service, and definately would not go again

This is the best place to eat in North Lanarkshire. The wait isn’t bad here — less than 20 minutes — and the food is fantastic! The staff are very friendly and always happy to help too.

This is a lovely italian restaurant with a wide range of food on their menu. It is primarily a restaurant but also delivers food. The pizzas are very tasty as well as the pasta and meat dishes. The staff are very attentive and it is reasonably priced. The lunch time menu is fantastic as are the christmas tribute nights something for everyone

This is a nice branch not too big it is located at the top end of Hamilton. It sells a variety of pasta dishes, pizzas with lots of choices of toppings and of course some lovely puddings. The staff are friendly. If you go pre book as you can get a two course meal for cheaper i think its around £8 but double check that. I really enjoy the pizza. The prices are reasonable as you get good size portions.

This Di Maggios is just like every other, not that thats a bad thing! You know exactly what to expect when visiting here. If you book via the website, you can book an early evening deal where you get 2 courses for around £8 each but for some reason you cannot just walk in and ask for this offer, you have to pre book.
I always look over the menu for ages but end up with the same everytime, ying yang chicken for starter and lasange for main course. I would recommend both of these dishes to anyone planning on going to any branch of Di Maggios.
Have always found the service here great and very efficient!
