I popped in needing a quick vegetarian lunch and a coffee but had a really great chat with the proprietor about food and the place had a really good atmosphere as well.
Last week we tried the chocolate and nut tart which was incredible.

Rocco DeAngelis, the proprietor of this gem of a chocolate shop makes the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted! The shop opened in Harpenden on the 1st of November. I happened to be passing the other day and hadn’t even realised it had opened. The cioccolato caldo is a cup of molten bliss, velvety, thick and creamy and not too sweet — quite easily the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted! DeAngelis stocks a range of luxury chocolates, including one that contains 99% cocoa, which he explained he uses in cooking (for example in meat dishes!) and a handmade range.
