Bar Nun is part of the same complex as the Priory Restaurant, occupying the ground floor, while the restaurant takes you up into the eaves. The bar itself is at one side, and feels a little stuck in a corner, with the priory architecture meaning it’s stuck behind cloister walls. The rather grim carpets don’t really help add to the atmosphere either. What Bar Nun does boast is a big function room for bands etc. It could do with being a bit smaller as it tends to feel a little empty and lacking atmosphere, but still, it’s nice to find something a little different in this area.
