Cheap and large, fairly friendly bar staff and usually a fairly positive atmosphere! Good for large groups

Fantastic pub right in the heart of the community. Excellent, polite smiley staff with efficient service. The food is amazing, good quality and consistently good whenever I’ve been in, which is quite frequent.

4/5, a standard Pub by the Wetherspoons Brand. Have been cases of trouble, but have yet to experience any of this when going myself. Drinks are probably cheapest price in the area, but not many other pubs in Hemel Hempstead nowadays, so a great place to start off, or stay depending on the night. Typical Pub Food, bar can get hectic on a busy night, on an empty night it is lovely.

This is a standard Wetherspoons Pub. Big open space that used to be a cinema prior to the Bingo hall from which it gets its name. Usual for this pub chain, no music & nice cheap drinks which attracts a lot of young people at the weekend. The normal starting point before hitting a club. The toilets are good here, bar service can be hit and miss depending on who and how many are serving. There are a few fruit machines and one quiz machine. A lot of seating, but will be full on the weekend.

This is a nice building but as was previously mentioned, on a busy night you can be waiting for 15 minutes just to get the bar. The toilets are clean and well kept. It does help if you know some people there. If you are in in your own, the huge crowds of people who all know each other can be a little intimidating. Drink prices are fair. They did an offer in Carlsburg in Jan — a pint for £1.50. Must say I used that a few times! Often an idea to ask if there are any promotions running.

The only pub left that is located anywhere near Hemel Hempstead town centre, the Full House is often accepted as a good starting point for a heavy night out. With the cheapest drinks available in the area, the lack of music doesn’t detract from the atmosphere as it is usually bussly and lively. They serve a great range of food that, though nothing special to talk about, is more than adequate in both quantity and quality for the price asked. Especially if you visit on a specials night(sunday roast, wednesday steak, thursday curry i think?). The staff are friendly and usually competent although the bar can get absolutely swamped on a busy night.
