The Frog is cozy, friendly, and delicious! Great place to have a nice pub dinner that won’t take your paycheck, but it’s not drop in the bucket either. I loved that there is a bread basket waiting for you right when you sit down and they took our drink order immediately so I had my Hendrick & soda with cucumber as I perused the tasty menu. And we got a free side of veggies as a nice healthy surprise. Their menu is seasonal & they have specials so there’s sure to be something new every time, which I love. –Duck terrine: Gamey and fantastic. The cranberry relish and toast compliment it perfectly. –Thai fishcake: Probably favorite part of the meal. Incredible spices. –Lemon sole fillets with crab meat and sauce: So many amazing flavors. –Monkfish wrapped in pancetta: Nice but the pancetta overpowered the monkfish, which is such a delicious fish on its own. –Sticky toffee pudding: One of the best I’ve had! Will definitely be coming back to try new stuff!

Went here with mixed group — very busy — booking is a must– good menu and although portions seemed small they were very filling. Good selection of beers including local Rebellion ales. Service very good in spite of the number of diners. Good décor and a lively atmosphere. Would recommend it.

I went to the frog for my Dads Birthday. We reserved a table as it always gets busy there. They have a seperate eating area thats tastefully decorated. The pub part is nice and cosy and the log fire was even burning. The menu is quite extensive and there are some specials too. The food came quickly and was all home cooked with nothing out of the packet or tin. The fish and chips with mushy peas was scrummy. Wash that down with a few pints of beer and you can have a nice evening out. Even nicer is to go out for a walk in the chilterns(or a bike ride) and return to the Frog later.

An enviable location should make this pub an absolute jewel. Sadly though, it’s let down by it’s kitchen and staff. The selection of beers is great and the décor of the pub is warm and inviting. The menu is extensive and, when the food actually turns up, the produce is home-cooked and tasty. The pub can get pretty busy and the kitchen really struggles to keep up with the orders. The last time I went on a weekday lunch the(albeit delicious) cod and chips took over an hour to arrive. Not much good when you’ve got better things to do than see how far you can nurse a pint.
