Parthenon Taverna

Brilliant little restaurant. Simple greek menu but done brilliantly. Tables set out slightly cramped, we were more or less sat in the kitchen and felt we would have been able to join in any of the conversations on the tables around us, but I suppose that shows how popular it is. I had the kleftico which was ever so slightly over done for me as I like my lamb falling off the bone and in some places it was slightly tough, although not enough to send it back. However much I love lamb I would have swapped it for my partners garlic and feta chicken. Devine! One thing that was very disappointing was we ordered the sharing starter and, well its not really a sharer more of a sampler, you only get one bit of each thing, and its not very big, so if you both want to try it all, you only get half a bite each, which doesn’t give you a lot to go off. I was very heavily pregnant at the time so didn’t really have the room for lots of food, but I’d have been more disappointed if I went and got that now however.
