Extensive menu and special board. Nice surroundings and very clean. Friendly staff. Loses a star because of not being able to book a table unless there’s a large party of you.

I’m guessing this is more of a drinkers pub as the food is poor. I’m not a snob but I do like my food. For the price, you kind of expect the quality to be at a standard of a Harvester or Fayre & Square, which this is not. I never judge until I have visited somewhere more than once. The first time was for Dinner with my family. It wasn’t that busy but we waited a long time for the dinner. All veg was overlooked and Luke warm. Meat, chicken and beef, was dry and tough. My second experience wasn’t much better. My curry tasted watery and rice was bland and wet, like boil in a bag. The deserts were of poor quality and stodgy.

I have been eating here regularly for about 3 years, and I have NEVER had a bad meal. The waitresses can have a bit of an attitude sometimes and the bar staff are plain rude, losing the 1 star. If the service was as good as the food, i would eat here more often. The Menu is expansive, and a very full specials board, and extremely reasonable prices(2 for 1 on most dishes).

This is our nearest place for drinks /food. It’s a lovely environment and relaxing but the service very much depends on which staff are on duty. The beer is Ok — its a decent enough pint of bitter As far as the food is concerned, it’s a good selection on the menu, and always a varied choice on the specials board. With the various offers, it makes it an inexpensive meal. The biggest downside is that each time I’ve been, the quality of the food has never quite been delivered. Much of it seems to be microwaved ready meals and we’ve always been alittle disappointed. It’s a great place for a substantial bite to eat if you can’t be bothered cooking, but in our opinion, not to be used for any special event

The Milestone is quite a newish pub and restaurant — less than 10 years I’d say. Found on the Hinckley bypass near Morrissons. From the outside is an impressive sight as the front facing the main road is a huge windmill. When you go in it splits between bar and restauant. The bar has a few comfy seats and also tables etc for bar meals and is all brick walls and beamed ceilings. The restaurant is quite big with a lot of tables downstairs and many upstairs. You can also sit inside the windmill part. We’ve had a few good meals here and, despite being on the outskirts of town it is sometimes a struggle to get a table. There is also plenty of seats outside for al fresoe dining in the summer.
