WHSmith is a fairly good shop and one that has pretty much firmly guaranteed it’s place in the town. This for two reasons — firstly the Woolworths across the street has closed down and secondly they have the towns main post office now full installed upstairs.
Having lost their floor space to the P.O. they’ve condensed it all downstairs but it’s still well set out.
The magazine section is well stocked with the usual to the bizarre and they have an extensive book section. The only problem with that is that evrything retails at normal price where as you can get the same book for half the price at Asda.
They have a back door so the shop tends to be a passageway to the car parks behind, which is something they probably encouage.
The P.O. upstairs does exactly what it says on the tin.
