Great pub, it was my introduction to the Sunday British pub roast and it was very good. More food than I could eat and great ales on kask.

I love this pub. My friend and I ate here a couple months back, and I absolutely adored the experience. It’s almost like being a really big, warm friendly house. They Web site doesn’t tell, but I think that it actually used to be a large house. There are a couple of fireplaces, and in the winter they have real log fires burning.
The food was delicious – real home cooked British meals, including a variety of vegetarian choices on the menu. The wait staff and bar tender were very friendly, and it was really enjoyable chatting with some of them.
This is a great place to take guests visiting from other countries as it’s a very traditional, English experience. I would definitely eat here again, and highly recommend it.

The chimney’s is a fantastic place. It is now run by a manager who is passionate about the standard and service at the Chimney’s; it has also benefited from an up to date refurbishment. The food is just top class. The prices are good too with a wide range of prices to cover all tastes and pockets. It is the only restuarant/​pub in the area that we eat at and I never get bored of the menu because there are frequent updates on daily specials on both main course and puddings. Highly recommended!

Only eaten here once but thought that it was worth a mention as there were about 15 of us and it was short notice. The food was of an excellent standard and the service was quick without being pushy and hurried. We would definately go back and probably will do in the near future.

I used to eat here a lot as the food was always good value. I have not eaten here as much lately, as I feel the quality has declined slightly but not enough to put me off ever going back. The ambience is so nice especially if you sit near the open fire. There is a good selection of food on the menu and they have daily specials. The prices are not bad as you do get a lot of food for your money. The staff are friendly and it’s so easy to find just of the M53, there is also lots of parking and an outdoor area for a refreshing drink in the summer.

I cannot praise the Chimneys enough it is amazing and I love it, evening meal or lunch. Free coffee refils and believe me the coffee is gorgeous (unusual for a pub).
Great range of meals and they change their menu with the seasons. You have to try their chicken and bacon sandwich may not sound exciting but WOW it’s fantastic. Also their homemade beef burgers are delicious.
Open fire really adds to the cozy atmosphere and along with the delightful staff and I mean all of them they are a joy and whenever I’m thinking of going out to eat this is always one of my top choices.

A fantastic place for a meal, but not until this year. I would recommend the stakes particularly here. Good atmosphere with open fires in winter. The drinks here are particularly well priced to entice people in. The variety of places to sit here is great along with the décor, there is a large ‘conservatory’ area when it’s sunny and snug areas in the back when it’s cold. Easy access on foot from hooton rail station if needed after one too many beers. Good car traffic links as it’s right on the road running up the wirral.
