I had to use this lounge when I flew on an airline with no lounge. It was a bit of a shock. It’s not necessarily the lounge, it’s the customers. The place is setup for large groups and people tend to spread out. It reminded me of a white-washed Wetherspoon’s.

For an airport lounge this place ticks almost every box. A warm greeting from the friendly lounge dragon, and you can explore this huge lounge with lots of different nooks and crannies to hide away in. For me, the best seats are right at the front with superb views of the runway and airfield. A selection of hot cooked food is available– I had a yummy fish finger sandwich. Other options included a vegetarian curry or a ploughmans lunch. These are freshly prepared and brought to your table. In addition, you can help yourself to soup, salad, cake and juice. And of course there’s a full bar. I enjoyed a few glasses of a very nice Rioja!

Ugh, this place is huge. The nice thing is that it’s very easy to navigate! It’s fairly well marked, cleanish, and has lots of employees you can at least ask for help if needed. Plus it’s really easy to get to the train from getting in from customs; can’t hate on that! Word of advice: give yourself plenty of time between flights and trains. Such a major hub as this and there are always huge lines and possibly hours of waiting. Such a blow is only softened by the relatively friendly workers.
