for what its worth i think i used the facilities to its advantage.£50 per month, you think you weren’t getting your money’s worth. located downstairs from The Contenental Hotel, lies the gym! there are two areas, one was the swimming pool and jacuzzi and upstairs is where all the rowing machines, treadmills, weights, ski hiking machine amongst other equipment was located. also you get classes for free within your membership. there are different price plans depending on when you did use the gym. all im saying is that as long as you use it to your advantage then its worth it but if u don’t go as often then you haven’t really made a good choice. i particularly loved the hot tub. results were made. if only they lower their rates down i would consider going back there!

I used to be a member for more than 2 years and finally I canceled my subscription. Paying 54GBP/​month, I would expect a clean, organized and «reliable» classes gym… This is how it was for the first few months after they opened.
After that, the gym turned into a disaster: dirty studio, toilets and equipment, the ceiling at the female changing rooms was falling apart (and down), the steam room changed its nice eucalyptus smell for an unbreathable stench, classes were delayed, teachers not showing up or showing up late, yoga classes scheduled at the same time and next door to super loud spinning classes (great for meditation and relax, you know…)
I was fed up of complaining to management (managers were also changing all the time), so I decided to cancel my membership. I guess its hard enough to push yourself to go to the gym, as to go to a dirty and bad organized one.
Today, I accompanied my friend with a «buddy pass». Things havent changed much since I left: dirty place (not as much as before though), tv monitors not working (in 10 out of 30 machines), cold water in the swimming pool…
The only positive thing are the personal instructors, very helpful.
Overall, Im glad I left… even though my friend pays now 35gbp, when I was paying 54gbp for the same kind of membership. I wonder why…
