Wonderful luxury chocolate emporium just off Western Road, near Palmeira Square in Hove. This is where you buy chocs and confectionary, toffee, fudge and truffles for a special occasion. Birthdays, anniversaries and wedding. Lovely personal service and not to be missed.

When you walk into this shop the smell hits you like a truck. Its amazing and must set the endorphins off as I could’ve stood there for an hour just enjoying the smell — but I’d probably have been arrested and then sectioned so I resisted.
Audrey’s have been making hand-​made chocolates for 60 years now and I think its worth treating yourself or your partner once a week with a selection of their finest. The staff are so cheery in here (must be those endorphins again) and are always happy to point out an interesting combination from the huge selection of treats available.
My favourite is the award-​winning rum truffle and also the grand manier truffle is worth a try but there’s not a lot in here that isn’t!

In the premium confectionary world, where your girlfriend loves you and everything is sweet, Audrey’s Chocolates rules supreme. This is in terms of commercial functions, weddings and special orders. Many places in town may already cater adequately for the pedestrian market but this tasty establishment provides the finest quality chocolates in mass to those throwing a special occasion or ordering something extra nice for Valentine’s Day. When it comes to passion and finesse few places are better. Prices might be high but so is the satisfaction.

This chocolate shop tuckef down a side street in Hove, is slightly reminiscent of Mrs Bucket or ‘Bouquet’, it’s old fashioned, prim and a little grandma-​ish. The chocolate boxes are those circular or heart shapedsatin covered ones that you might see on the bed of a forties film siren. The whole style grew on me actually. The chocolates are made on site and are delicious– more than I can afford right now. but some day I’ll buy myself a box and lounge in bed eating them.
