Bankers Express

I’ve just moved down from the North West and I’ve been searching for a chip shop that serves gravy for AGES. this place does chips, cheese and gravy and it’s so good! I got told chips in the south aren’t as nice because they’re not cooked in lard but this place does them spot on. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Really quick service, too. The girl who served us was a bit hostile but the chips were so good that it didn’t really matter.

Great fish and chip shop that serves fantastic food. The fish and chips are aboslutely brilliant from here.
I don’t have fish and chips very often, but when I do have some as a treat, they’re always from bankers express.
My only qualm with this place is that they seem to manage to get something wrong with my order every single time I go there.
Most recently they let a couple that had just walked in to the chippy walk off my mine and my boyfriends fish and chips that we had waited for over ten minutes for. On top of that when we finally DID get our food and got home, they’d put 3 portions of mushy peas in our bag, instead of 2 x peas and a curry sauce.
The mushy peas /​curry sauce fiasco happens EVERY time we go there, and for that reason I cannot give bankers 5 stars!
