It is quite a weird time to be reviewing this store now, with it not being long until this store(as well as all other Morrisons Local stores) is being sold off for 25m by Morrisons, This store is in quite a good location, in the city center of Huddersfield and opened in March 2014, near enough opposite Currys and WHsmith and Kingsgate Shopping Center. This store is a reasonable price, but mainly acts as a corner shop to pick up essentials while in the city center, but it is nothing to shout about compared to Manchester and Liverpool for example, who have large Tesco stores in their city center. This store also has good opening hours, being open from 7am to 9pm every day, including Sunday’s so is convenient. The range here is good for a store of its’ size, mainly stocking the basics, and I do feel the layout of this store is quite reasonable, and nice, and is considerably nicer and better than the layout of the larger stores. The store can be a little narrow at times, especially around the till making it a little inconvenient to get past when they is a queue, and near enough impossible with a buggy or wheelchair. The staff here do seem okay, however they didn’t seem to stand out. Overall, this is an average supermarket in a city center, however when comparing to other supermarkets located in city centers of the likes of Manchester and Liverpool, it is below average and due to the range just being okay, and a little lacking on certain areas, while also considering it isn’t the best place to call in to grab a quick pint of milk with it being in a city center and limited parking, I feel also considering they are larger supermarkets before, the highest possible rating I can give for this store is 2.
