Some folks and I visited this place as a slight detour from our ale trail, but I’m rather glad we did. It’s a really funky bar in Hudder, and(although this may sound presumptious, it’s more due to naïveté) wouldn’t feel out of place in Leeds. The staff were too cool for school, the selection of drinks offered top notch Belgian beers, worldly lagers, and a decent cocktail selection, and the wall is plastered with rather excellent gig posters and other accoutrement. Your eyes fail to get bored, it’s almost as bad as having a TV screen –you can’t stop gazing. Whilst our visit was brief, it was a memorable one, be it for the fine drinks, the arcade machine in the corner, the random overtly drunk middle aged lady being propped up by Uni students, the grungy décor, and the immediate location to the train station. If you’re in town, it should be on your map.

Great music which isn’t too loud, nice relaxed atmosphere, good selection of drinks, a little more pricey that other places in town though.

Top bar. Great tunes, cool décor, quick service and, most importantly, fantastic drinks. Cocktails, ales, Belgian beers, they’ve got the lot. The Sweet Tart cocktail went down well with the girls; I had a beer with seaweed in it(actually very good) and a kermit green coloured cocktail I can’t remember the name of(with kiwi and apple).
