Bengal Pride

Easily one of the best places to eat Indian cuisine in the city. Never eaten inside the restaurant but always been very impressed with the takeaways. Bit pricey but you pay for what you get here. Would definitely recommend this place.

went to bengal over the festive period, busy but still serving good quality food, if you like indian food give this place a good, its not expensive and you will enjoy a good choice of starters and mains

I am really glad they got rid of that awful black window at the front so you can actually see in the place now. However, I’m not so sure about the lighting scheme. Yes it’s intimate but you need a torch to read the menu and when the lights suddenly change to red it gives you a bit of a scare! The air con was a bit over zealous too and we had to move tables because we were shivering.
A good choice of different food options, expecially for a veggie. I was very excited to find a curry with banana in (I love curry with banana!) and my husband was pleased with the option of lamb. It would have been nice if the chef had some specials for veggies though. Both curries were creamy but a little bland. Mine had a generous amount of veg in but my husband’s was a bit disappointing, a few bits of lamb floating about in loads of sauce.
The deserts were were those awful frozen things that come in coconut halves and have their own wipe clean menu. Very disappointing.
The staff were very plesant and clearly took pride in what they did.
They did charge for tap water though.
It was plesant enough and I would go again. I wonder though, if it is rated as highly as it is by others because there are very little other acceptable Indian resturant options in Hull?

fantastic place, staff very friendly, food was excellent. Open Sun — Fri 5.30 — 11 pm. Sat 5.30 — midnight.
We’d definately go again, … it was made even better when, aftter they’d found out it was my partners birthday, we got a free after dnner drink

after reading other reviews i had to try it out myself, went last night with partner, bit on the small side so best for couples i would say, food was FANTASTIC best indian ive ever had partner was very very impressed, staff was very polite, prices great 2, will be regulars from now on

possibly the best indian restaurant in hull! the food is always really nice and really well cooked/​prepared. the staff are very friendly. the food is very reasonably priced considering the high standard and they do takeaway too at a reduced rate.

We love this restaurant. Always really tasty food. We usually get a delivery but are planning on a sit-​down meal there tomorrow. Staff have always been great and food is definately value for money.

definitley, in my humble opinion, the best indian restaurant in hull. a wide range of different types. all absolutley delicious. the staff are always impeccably dressed and very very friendly.

Great Indian restaurant, extensive menu, friendly, likeable staff, good choice of drinks, resonable prices — I don’t know what else to say except try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.

This has got to be one of the better Indian restaurants I’ve found in Hull, the usual dishes found in most Indian restaurants but not as bland as a lot seem to have become.
Worth a try.
