Re-named to Lion and Key in 2011. No live music anymore. Good selection of real ales, cider and whisky. Nice food, posh pub grub basically.

a Great little Out Of the way Irish inspired Pub ! Sometimes plays decent Local Live acts in the Corner of the main Room, although Durty Nellies is a Rather small pub the atmosphere is Great especially when relaxing with some Friends ! Upstairs is a seating area which is sometimes Empty making it a good place to chill out with some mates and have a good Chat!

great little stop off on a night out, pleasant atmosphere everytime i’ve been in. They have good prices on drinks even during the credit crunch. Also situated just out of the town madness of a friday and saturday night. Overall good little pub well worth a visit next time your in town.

Durty nellys is a great irish themed pub set in the old town area of Hull. The pub has 2 floors decorated to look like a rustic old Irish pub and also offers some great food. The pub is set out pretty well with some quirky bits such as a bed as a table and old guness signs all over the place. It has a open fire in the winter which is very cosy and frequent live music. Happy hour is the best time to visit. If I was to give a bad point it would be the lack of seating, they could fit a lot more seating in there as it can get quite busy at times.
