give larkins a try, they have a decent selection on the menu and the food is tasty.
they also have some good beers, for £30.00 2 can eat well at this trendy little bar

Larkin’s bar is a really excellent pub. They have a wide selection of beers, with at least three cask ales on tap, the food is good, and the service too is always friendly and fast (in my experience). My favourite bar on Newland Avenue.

Terrible and rude service at this bar. Went there last night with a group of friends, we bought our drinks as they called last orders. As we was then sitting down to drink them, we was asked to drink up and leave as they we’re closing. After questioning why they let us by a drink only to ask us to leave, the bouncer left, we carried on with our drinks, then 5 minutes later a member of staff asked us to leave, then every 2 minutes after then until we left, we was asked to hurry up and finish our drinks.
Couldn’t believe the rudeness from the staff. If they intend to close at a certain time, don’t have the bar open until that exact time! I certainly won’t be going back there again, i’d rather spend my money elsewhere.
