Like other pubs in the area this should be an excellent venue, but perhaps Holderness Road isn’t ready for café society just yet.
This might be why come evenings and weekends it’s jam packed with loud obnoxious and at times intimidating people.
Get there early in the day (after opening and before noon), enjoy a coffee (or a pint of wife-​beater), and watch the world drift by
