Sanctuary Bar

I’ve come to this bar a few times during my first and second semester and on every occasion I’ve had food. Usually the food takes for ever to come about ¾ hour just for a burger, the staff are usually unpleasant and never happy. It seems they don’t want be there and it always seems a hassle to be served.
Yesterday I came to this bar and ordered a burger and surprisingly it came within 5 minutes. At the time I thought how can you cook a burger in 5 minutes but didn’t really give it a second thought anyway once I got home I felt awful and guess what! I had food poisoning, went to the doctors and they confirmed that it was from the burger, now I have lost a day’s pay and been a student this is quite a blow to my financial account for the week.
The reason why I haven’t gave this review no stars is purely based on the fact that this bar is a pub and not just a restaurant and tbf it does serve good quality cheap alcohol.
However I know for a fact I won’t be having food from here again and the Food Standards Agency will be informed.

It’s good prices all the time! But the floor is always very sticky! I understand it’s a student bar but it’s not very nice to stick to the floor! Food ok and cheap drinks! What more does a student want?

Good student pub. They have recently extended their range of real ales, and now have Hobgoblin on permanent draft. The drinks price are average, as are the food prices. The food is nothing special, but of standard pub quality and in line with the price.
Good, quick service, and good staff.
Quiz and fruit machines, cheap pool, and free wii and darts (only for Hull students)

Great on a student night out (or lunch in the pub). Cheap drinks and cheap food! Service is quick and a very friendly atmosphere! Quiz machines, darts, pool, duke box and wii! What more could a student want?! Oh and the wedges are great ;)
