This fairly new chippy is one of the best in hull! As well as the usual fish and chips, they do spam fritters and patties, which are the best I’ve tasted for a while. It not expensive for what you get and all the staff are really friendly

The Fry Inn is located in Sutton Village in what used to be the old Blockbuster Video store(Just opposite the church). The inside is clean and tidy with a little bit of seating in the window, courtesy of some bar stools. On entering the shop, the lady behind the counter asked if we wanted any fish, as they were cooking to order at that time(to prevent too much waste). Me and my mate decided to have the fish special — Small fish, chips and a coice of either peas, gravy or curry for £3.30. I asked if the fish was skinned and boned, which they are. She asked my make if he wanted his skinned too. He prefers the skin on but that was no problem as they have some unskinned fish ready in the fridge. It’s nice to see they cater for both tastes as it’s usually one or the other. Whilst waiting for the fish to be cooked, we was wondering how big the fish would be as it only stated that it was a small fish. When it was finally cooked and but in the cardboard box, along with the chips and peas, the lady asked if we wanted to put salt and vinegar on. We proceeded to do and I was pleasently suprised by the size of the fish. Although not really large, it was a decent size considering the price. The taste of the fish was good and the chips were cooked well, much better than some other fish shops in the area. An added bonus was that they have chip spice to put on your chips! Not everyone in Hull offers that so it was a pleasant suprise. On the whole, good value for money with tasty food. We will definately be back!
