My next review is taking me really close to home, there for I guess I might be a little biased but please indulge me. I grow up in the area and I skill keep a home nearby too. My first job while in college was right here as a glass collector(I was under 18 at the time so couldn’t work the bar) I loved it. The pub is a really sweet, well run and friendly place. It’s in the heart of the Kirkella and to this day, I still enjoy paying a visit whenever I can. This review is short and sweet and easy to write. The Wheatsheaf is a wonderful and beautiful pub.

The church has been the centre of Kirk Ella much longer(800 years or more) than the WHEATSHEAF, which is a great pub with more than acceptable pub grub and wide range of beers. A typical well run Marstons house it’s often unexplainably empty but when it’s full it’s fair buzzin. Huge car park popular with folk attending funerals and weddings St Andrews next door.

This is a lovely welcoming pub with an array of delicious meals from sandwiches, salads to main meals(restaurant or bar food whichever you fancy). They also serve real ale here There’s a huge tv(that has sky0 to watch what you wish, a dartboard & pool table for enjoyment. Theres a car park, a beer garden & patio area for diners, smokers or drinkers what ever you wish weather permitting. There is disabled access for those needing it The seats inside are that comfy you may not want to go home. Children are welcome here as are dogs too This place is situated next to the local church but for why i don’t know. strange
