Situated on a quiet wooded lane on the coast, the atmosphere makes you want to give up work and become a glass blower. It is very expensive but beautiful. Because it was quiet we were able to watch a vase and decorated ball to be made from scratch. The ‘artists’ were friendly and answered our questions. I just wish I could have afforded it (the glass ball was around £60).

Isle of Wight Studio glass produces some of the most beautiful glass items made in the whole UK.
They have a collectors club and you can visit and see the glass items being hand blown in their studio. It is an amazingly skilled and fascinating process to watch.
I would highly recommend a visit to anyone who values beautiful objects made by skilled craftsmen.
