Bella Italia

Okay, so, on the positives side, the food was good. I had an antipasti board, which had some lovely salami and ham, bread and salad, and tasty buffalo mozarella cheese. My main, the Pollo Limone Siciliana, was really tasty — a tangy sauce and well cooked pasta. And the bubblegum gelato and raspberry sorbet for dessert was brilliant.
So, why the two star review? Quite frankly, the service was VERY unimpressive. On a Tuesday night, the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, and there were two/​three waiting staff on. Everything was just so, so slow. It took ages for someone to come and take our order, ages to get the drinks, we had to go and get another glass for our prosecco as it was taking too long.
It basically felt like every interaction with waiting staff, we had to work for — tables weren’t cleared properly between courses (despite there being quite a wait between the starters and mains). We weren’t the only people having issues — I also saw two couples complain to the waiting staff during our meal.
I’d never been to a Bella Italia before this one, and though I enjoyed the food, I REALLY wasn’t impressed with the service.

I have been to Bella Italia on several occasions and I love it! The service is fast and courteous, and the food is brilliant. I love Italian food and Bella’s provides beautifully tasting food at a great price! I personally get the same meal whenever I go because it’s so good I don’t want to try anything else! I have tried my friend’s meals also and the quality remains the same. They are also very generous with requests. E.g. I went for brunch there to treat my cousin for her birthday, not only do they stop serving at an ideal time of 12:00pm, they changed the order to what we requested, two eggs instead of tomatoes for the two of us. The only reason I’m not rewarding 5 stars is because we have had issues with short changing. I always pay with card however my friends use cash and on some occasions they have short changed them, once by £5. Overall Bella is a lovely restaurant with great service and fabulous food, for reasonable prices! Never had an issue with the quality of the food.

I really liked the pasta here, and they give you tons of ice if you ask for it, great for the Americans coming to visit in the summer months, the service was good, I’d recommend for a lovely Sunday afternoon lunch. Although I thought I saw they do breakfasts too.
