Pretty good pub on the main road into Thrapston.
Food is not too bad, the times we have eaten there, with a fairly standard menu.
I understand they also provide loadging with a few purpose built cabins to the rear of the pub. Never stayed there so not sure of the quality.
Reasonably priced food although the beer prices seem to have shot up in recent months.
Good for a Sunday dinner with the parents or a few sharpeners after work on a Friday.
Overall decent village pub.

the woolpack in islip is a really nice pub/​restaurant, we quite often go there on a sunday afternoon and sit outside with a glass of wine and the kids a coke, it also has a function room plus you can stay there at a very reasonable price, the food is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful.

Very good pub, a nice cosy little country pub, it has seating areas outside in the large garden! They have a restaurant which does food all day everyday and through the evening. They have a games room which has a pool table and a juke box. The staff are very friendly and kind. The food is fab and excellent value for money. I had a chicken burger and chips which cost me £6.95. Great!
