Interesting place to pop in for light lunch if you’re in King’s Lynn. Nicely positioned right on the quay side, located in a building built in 1580, just hope the timber frame techniques then better than today! Fascinating historic perspectives gleaned from the exhibits and the charitable work undertaken here, never mind the huge cheese and tuna baked potato and generous pots of tea they dish out for lunch. I’ve cheated a bit here for speed and used their description of the centre: ‘The key objectives of the Green Quay is to inform and educate both schools and general public about the Wash, Fens and the fragile environment around them, and to promote the fantastic heritage of the area. This is often achieved by community events such as illustrated talks and workshops held at the Green Quay’. Highly recommended do your bit for history, the community and tummy.
