Facing right onto the pebble beach out front, this is a charming fish shack that you can buy the locally caught fresh seafood from. But it also has a few picnic tables our front where you can sit and eat some of the local seafood fare. I went for a sensible prawn cocktail, which was delicious. Served with some fresh crispy salad and some brown bread, it rocked. My partner went for the cold platter, which in hindsight was really a sharing platter, because it was huge! He loved it, but I had to help him eat it, as we didn’t want to leave any of it behind. I had a few mussels the first time in my life and they tasted great. I’ve not had any mussels since, for fear they wont be near as nice. If I am ever back in the area I am going to make sure we get back to Britannia Shell Fish for some yummy seafood. The guy serving us was a nice rocker dude, who chatted to my partner about the rock tee shirt he was wearing. Turned out, he had been to same rock festival that year. Oh almost forgot, their coffee was pretty good too.
