Witty bartenders and really inexpensive pints of beer.
We had a beer here and no food. It’s in the old town area, which is great.
Don’t half step. This seems like the place to go watch sporting events, eat unhealthy food and drink inexpensive beer. Yeah!

Hadn’t been in the Three John Scotts for a few years so went for lunch when I was back in Hull. I ordered Scampi & Chips and my sister had the Burger & Chips with Bacon and Cheese. The portions were a decent size, but the chips had been seriously overcooked and obviously fried more than once and yet somehow barely warm. I would not have even put them on the plate. The Bacon on the burger was the consistency of boot leather and was cold. I won’t be eating here again.

come on Wetherspoons — typical set up. toilets half mile underground, they smell, broken dryers, flaky paint on walls, patched up where louts have kicked the plaster in. baby changing facitilites absolutely stink. dirty, bins brimming with used nappies… tables are ‘always’ sticky, like they never change or clean the cloth they wipe (on the rare occasions they are wiped at all) the tables. food is expensive — what? i hear you say! have a close look. they quality is low, small portions and usually cold. microwave Dave the cook often forgets to add the mushrooms or tomatoes, wait for 10mins to catch waiters attention. only saving grace is they have put carling back on the pumps! get a grip wetherspoons — all the other wetherspoons in Hull are even worse than this one — also one or two of the staff look like they have had a couple (or need a few). SMILE PLEASE!

Great pub, great prices, OK food. If you are looking for a cheap meal, or a cheap night out, this is the place to go! Its a friendly place and you always feel welcome, but be wary of the odd drunk middle aged man trying to chat you up… other than that its a good pub with a wide range of cheap drinks, meaning you could spend most of the night there! Its generally very comfortable, but it can get VERY busy, so watch you’re drinks as there seems to be a lot of people bumping into each other!

in my Opinion Three John Scotts is a Great Pub ! it always serves Cheap Quality beer and Really Great Food ! this is Probably due to its Affiliation with WeatherSpoons Pubs.
The atmosphere is Great, especially for Family meals etc, it has Nice comfy seating areas and also a Large bar meaning you very rarely have to wait long to be served !

Three John Scotts is a Wetherspoons pub, sitated in the old town area of Hull. It is very popular, and can get extremely popular during the day as well as an evening.
Wetherspoons pubs always serve cheap beer, and this one serves cheap food as well. You could buy two adults meals here for around £7, mealssuch as fish and chips or bangers and mash, and whenever I have had them they have been well cooked and very large portions.
Wetherspoons have drinks very cheaply, under £2 for a alcopop or a spirit and mixer usually, and a bottle of wine can cost as little as £7.
I would recommend this pub.
