We started going to Pauls last year and now we try to buy all our meat from here — FAR better than the supermarket. They do special offers, including 3 for £10 and 2 for £5 deals on a lot of their popular choices. We love the breakfast sausage that has spring onion through it. Chicken breast taste so much better than those at the supermarkets.

On a Friday, this place does buy one get one free on Sirloin Steaks. I’m not really sure if I need to say much more than that. So for around a tenner you can get four very generously sized steaks to cook however you like them.
The meat is fantastic and the staff are very pleasant and only too happy to help you if you require any trimming or have any particular requests. There has been a butchers here for some time yet, the locally-​renowned Pauls brand only took over the premises in 2009.
There’s always an offer on and they are known locally particularly for their sausages and puddings having won numerous awards, including Scotlands butcher of the year — albeit for their Kilsyth shop.
Did I mention, TWO steaks for the price of one. If you’ve not left already to get some then do it now.
