The food is always great and the staff are always friendly. It can get a bit busy sometimes, but that is the sign of its popularity.

Believe me, 9 times out of 10 when you approach Scott’s you’re being blown about with a chilly wind so it’s good to step into a warm and fancy environment. The décor is lovely and if you’re not seated in the open and bright space with views of the marina you’ll be equally happy in a cosy booth.
The staff are usually very polite and helpful.
The menu has a great choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner with good value pre-​theatre deals and the food is tasty (I recommend the braised steak). The only weird thing that’s happened in the past is that they had no pancakes when half the breakfast menu has them in a lot of the dishes. Do you think they were out of eggs, flour and milk too?

I absolutely love the Buzzworks group of restaurants. I first tried Scotts in Troon and I fell in love instantly. I have written a few reviews on them now, and I haven’t been for a while as I’d pretty much ‘been there, done that’ with the menu. Recently they announced a new menu — excitement isn’t even close to how I felt! I decided that I’d go to Scotts Largs restaurant this time.
Just like the Troon restaurant, this Scotts sits on the Yacht Haven and has gorgeous views of the marina and you get to dine as the sun sets over the sea — lovely. Inside the restaurant is similar yet different to Troon — the décor is the same but a bit more blingy — and in general the bar has more presence. Towards the end of the night the music was on and it was quite loud, and the place was bustling whereas in Troon it’s more peaceful.
Service-​wise the staff are exactly as you’d expect from the chain — lovely, helpful and attentive. Our waitress was really friendly and took time to discuss the gluten-​free options with my father-​in-​law and reassure him. This is something I really look for in restaurants.
I always say that I agonise over what to order, and despite poring over the menu in advance, I was spoiled for choice and struggled to pick. As did everyone else. The new menu has so many amazing options.
I ordered the fish platter — a delicious smörgåsbord of seafood goodness — it consists of a mini prawn cocktail, mussels marinières, smoked salmon, king prawn tempura, caper berries, balsamic dip and sweet chilli dip. I actually love nothing more than mixing and matching and tasting all the different components! I do have a little gripe: I REALLY miss the Scottish tapas platter. When I saw it missing from the menu my heart did sink — a few other dishes were missing but I’m not bothered, but the Scottish tapas with the mini haggis, neeps & tatties, pâté, garlic bread and the salmon and prawns. The fish plate was beautiful in its own right, but its never going to replace the original!
I ordered a seafood main course, my mum ordered duck, my other half ordered goats cheese a PMd my in-​laws had chicken. All were perfect.
All together this was an amazing meal for everyone — Scotts has never let me down and has refreshed their menu and given me more new items to try! I really do wish the Scottish Tapas platter would reappear; it genuinely distresses me that its gone forever.

Beautiful location at the marina in Largs.
I had the pork belly for an entrée. Highly recommend. The sticky toffee pudding was the best I’ve ever had.

The former Nardinis at the Yacht Haven is now Scotts, a superb interior creates a a homely relaxing yet modern eating environment. Perfect stop for lunch or as was the case with myself, breakfast. The breakfast itself was a traditional Scottish breakfast which came on quite a large plate which consisted of copious amounts of the standard produce, bacon, sausages, eggs. The staff were accommodating enough to change swap over some ingredients for double of others. the service was top quality and very friendly and the selection of breakfast and lunches on the menu extensive. The only criticism I have was the sausages were quite bland and the butter melted quite quickly due to a hot plate, otherwise I must heartily recommend Scotts for anyone passing through the Largs area.
