Highly recommended.
Slightly off the beaten track (just off Bath Street) & worth seeking out. Good value for money, authentic french rustic style bistro /​restaurant. Good mid-​week offers. Probably need to book at weekends as it is quite small.
If you want to try simply cooked, home-​made French food, rather than the over-​priced, slick ‘french’ style chains around then this is certainly worth visiting.

Not sure why Sianbuffy only gives 3 stars, since her review is glowing. I agree with it – but would give 4 or 5. It’s a real French restaurant, run by a French couple, and while the food is not stunning, it’s a bit like going to one of those good roadside restaurants when you are in France. Nice and relaxed and good French food.

Small but perfectly formed — it’s a bit like eating in someone’s front room. Staff are charming and the food is real. Tuesdays are prix fixe menu. Good wine list too. I’ve never been disappointed. Go and try it.
