Nice and plenty if good, helpful staff but to noisy. Great for group booking but not romantic meal

Have had some lovely meals at the Ruby, both on an evening and the occasional Sunday lunch. These days though we tend to use it more for take-aways. The banquet for two is around £21 and includes starters, rice and 3 main courses. The delivery service is usually very efficient(around 35 – 45 minutes) or you can collect. Always pleasant staff and a good choice of menu.

A celestial palace indeed. THe buffet meals are all you can eat — so we reoredered the satay chicken starter — a must They turned the music down when asked to do so. Friendly and helpful staff and delicious food Brilliant for a great night out Do try it

went for the buffet on Sunday, as the other reviewer said, it’s quite deceptive in size. The buffet wasn’t large, but the food was really good, and we would definitely return there. We’ve noted it down as somewhere to bring people when visiting. Not tried the takeaway aspect yet

From outside this place doesn’t look much, small and a bit like a takeaway. However it is like a tardis inside, it goes right back and has welcoming understated décor. I visited with a large party of friends on a Thursday night and the place was full which is a testament to how good the food is. They operate an all you can eat deal, which costs £12.90 during the week. You can then choose a selection of dishes, the number depending on how many people are in your party. They do state that if you leave any of the food, they reserve the right to charge for that dish at the menu price. This is obviously to stop people overordering and leaving food. However this wasn’t a problem for us as the food was superb and we managed to finish everything. I would particularly recommend the starter of chicken satay, this was really big chunks of chicken and was a favourite with everyone. The spring rolls were also lovely, as were all the main courses. The drinks weren’t cheap. but the bill came to £21 a head for food and drink which I think is very reasonable.
