If you like Nando’s but can’t be bothered with the hassle of choosing one of the gazillion on offer in Leeds and fancy eating at home, then Charco’s is pretty much bang on.
I think I might have some weird chicken-​from-​a-​takeout-​phobia because I always worry it’ll be a bit dodgy, but we took the plunge with Charco’s, what with one being opposite the university and another up our way and if they were rubbish they wouldn’t be creating an empire, right? Anyway, it was delicious. We had a gigantic combo platter for £11.95, with chips and corn as the sides, and were happily stuffed for the rest of the evening. Really good quality it was too. And surprisingly, or maybe not, pretty indistinguishable from Nando’s.
